About the Role… Are you a highly organised administration and events professional who enjoys bringing projects to life and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) is seeking a Coordinator – Sydney Royal Competitions & Events to join the Wine, Dairy & Fine Food team. This role provides administrative, operational and event support across the Sydney Royal Wine, Beer & Cider, Distilled Spirits, Dairy Produce and Honey competitions, awards programs and associated events. Working closely with Event Managers and a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, you will assist with competition planning and delivery, exhibitor and official coordination, event logistics, database management and stakeholder communications. You will also help maintain accurate competition records, coordinate officials' travel and accommodation, manage shared inboxes, support exhibit logistics and assist with budget and administration processes. This is a varied and hands-on opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities and takes pride in delivering accurate and professional support. Some evening, weekend and occasional travel may be required. About you… You are a proactive and organised coordinator with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to customer service. You enjoy building relationships, managing competing priorities and ensuring projects and events are delivered successfully. To be successful, you will demonstrate: - Minimum 3 years' experience in administration, coordination or a similar support role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning, organisational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
- Strong customer service, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Confidence working with databases and maintaining accurate records.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A positive, flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Desirable: - Tertiary qualifications and an interest in the wine and food industries.
- Event coordination or event management experience.
- Experience supporting competitions, awards programs or industry events.
- Experience using Momentus or a similar event management system.
- An understanding of, or strong interest in, agriculture, food, wine and related industries.
