Position Purpose As a Heritage Show Assistant, you will work closely with the Manager, Heritage Centre and Coordinator, Trophies and Prizes to ensure that the Heritage Pavilion and Prize Program run smoothly. At times, this role is labour intensive, and a reasonable level of fitness is required to fulfil the duties. This is a maximum term casual contract role from 16 March to 14 April 2026. Key Responsibilities - Assist with bump-in and bump-out of Heritage displays
- Provide information desk support within the Heritage Pavilion
- Process, pack, and deliver trophies and prizes ahead of presentation schedule
- Collect and clean trophies following presentation
- Other duties as may reasonably be given
About you… This position would suit an individual studying towards a qualification in museum studies, heritage, archives or other history related field. Additionally, to be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: - Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable customer service skills
- Planning and time management skills
- Problem solving skills and initiative
- A high degree of flexibility
- A reasonable level of fitness
- An interest in history
