The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW is currently looking for a passionate and savvy Coordinator to join the Wine, Dairy & Fine Food Team to help administer, coordinate and execute the Sydney Royal Wine Show, Cheese & Dairy Show, Fine Food Show, Beer & Cider Show, Distilled Spirits Show, President’s Medal, Talk & Taste, Grape, Grain & Graze Festival and associated events & programs. About the Role… The Sydney Royal Wine, Dairy and Fine Food Shows set the standard in Australian wine and food judging. Sydney Royal Competition judging areas comprise of Wine, Cheese & Dairy Produce, Aquaculture, Beer & Cider, Branded Meat, Professional Bakery, Smallgoods & Charcuterie, Oil & Olives, Pasta Speciality Food and Distilled Spirits. The Sydney Royal team is currently looking for someone passionate about administration and events to become a Coordinator in this varied position. This exciting and rare role will provide detailed administration and hands-on assistance to the established Wine, Beer & Cider and Fine Food team, assisting with the planning, execution and delivery of the events and programs. This role will involve but not be limited to the following: - Assist the team of three Event Managers with administrative duties and operational set up for all the Sydney Royal Shows
- Coordinate and deliver all of the Judges Training Programs for the Sydney Royal Shows
- Coordinate the official invitations & correspondence and manage all travel and accommodation requirements for Show Officials
- Assist the team with planning and coordination of related Show events such as lunches, dinners, networking events and public tastings
- Update content for the Sydney Royal Wine, Dairy & Fine Food website pages
- Assist with Exhibitor, Council and Committee requirements
- Maintain a procedure manual, documenting duties completed and a timeline of events
- General administration and event related duties
- Attend to all section inquiries with confidence via phone and email.
About you… This role is fun and rewarding but requires great attention to detail and great organisational skills complimented with a strong interest and appreciation for the food, wine and agricultural industries. To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: - Tertiary qualifications and an interest in the wine and food industries preferred but not essential
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to take initiative and demonstrate flair in creating opportunities to benefit the section.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and patience.
- Positive “can do” attitude.
- Team player
