About the Role
We’re seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the Finance team across a range of operational tasks, with a key focus on Accounts Payable. Play an important role in ensuring supplier invoices and payment processes are handled accurately and on time, while supporting broader finance administration and month-end activities.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their finance career who is detail-focused, enjoys working with numbers and processes, and is keen to build experience in a large, purpose-driven organisation.
This position will be rostered for 38 hours per week and is expected to conclude on Friday 12 June 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Operations
Process supplier invoices and match invoices to purchase orders.
Resolve supplier and internal staff queries relating to payments.
Reconcile supplier statements and set up new suppliers.
Review payment batches to ensure data accuracy.
Complete data entry, scanning and filing of documents.
Assist with balance sheet GL account reconciliations and preparation of accruals/standing journals.
Set up new inventory items when required.
Assist with the general operations of the Finance department as directed and undertake ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience
Certificate or Diploma (or above) in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Competent Microsoft Office skills; Excel capability highly regarded.
Experience is not required (open to entry-level candidates).
